The fun part of video production is definitely working as a music videographer. Jo at Whoosh has had a passion for music,  having studied  music and playing and singing in bands. This experience  allows  her to understand the edit of a video, feeling the rhythm, as well as developing creative concepts. 

With a background in the arts and music, music videography sits well under the area of storytelling. You want your music video to showcase the sound you can create but also the story of your song and your music. We can work with you on the creative concept for your music video, storyboarding the shoot to achieve exactly the look you want. 

The production of the music video starts with planning meetings and concept design talks. Ideally we could attend a rehearsal to get a feel for possible shots and work with the band on movement and choreography. We would film the rehearsals to get an idea of the angles and shots which would be possible for the actual filming.

Great planning means a really effective filming period. No matter how long you have, whether a couple of hours or a couple of days, we will make the most of the time available to get the shots we need. 

All  filmed media  will be saved and backed up immediately after filming ensuring that the valuable film is safe and secure! The edit can then start, following the idea behind the storyboard. A rough edit or first draft will be made of the music video, so that the client can comment and feed back any amends that are required.
